This is called "The Coffee Date Dress" and it's available as a free download at Burda Style. I think the name suits it just perfectly. It's most certainly on my to-do list, and boy am I in a sewing mood after last week! Summer sewing is just so much more fun than winter sewing.
But first, I guess I need to get on that adorable Prairie Girl dress from Favorite Things. And I just discovered this FANTASTIC JACKET on that site.

Thanks for the link to that dress pattern! I've been itching to make some clothes but have been un-inspired by the pattern books. This is just what I've been looking for!!
Hi Robyn, I will post more about the Coffee Date dress, but maybe not until next weekend when I'll take pictures of me wearing it. I did make a muslin of the dress, and then did some tweaking on the bodice for fit (shortened the bust darts, moved the shoulder seam forward, closer fit in the waist). The back darts seem really high, but when I lowered them the back looked strange and I didn't know how to fix it so I just left them as is. Otherwise, the pattern went together very nice. You'll like it.
Summer sewing is indeed better than winter sewing. I need to post a tutorial on my blog on my favorite way to refashion a t-shirt. That dress is super cute and it does have the perfect name.
