25% off burp cloth sets!
There are barfing babies all over the world right now who are soiling mom's shirt. Their faces have nothing soft and luxurious to rest upon. It's not right.
I have a few burp cloth sets in my etsy shop. I'm ready to just clear out my inventory and make space in my tiny storage area.
Everything is 25% off! Enter code BABYLOVE at checkout. Great, inexpensive, cute Christmas gift for a new mom and baby!
Double sided, made of flannel and flannel/cotton chenille. They are soft and absorbent.
If my description doesn't sell you on it, surely my fine photography will! This is what I have left and I won't be making any more. I'm closing up shop (again).

Treasury time!
As discussed before on this blog, I sell on a site called etsy.com. People make "Treasuries" where they pick a theme and select people's items to be in it. I only have one knitted item, and I don't knit very well, so it surprised me!
Mine is on the right, third from top.

If you need this fluffy, red scarf, visit Burst of Happiness!

My new earrings
I bought these two pairs of earrings from etsy.com seller ivcreations. I put out a call for "delicate" jewelry and she was one person who responded. I LOVE her stuff. I couldn't decide from between about 10 things, but I settled on these two:

Treasury 4
I'm on an etsy.com treasury roll! Treasuries are where someone else picks stuff they like and posts it. It's sort of an honor to have something chosen because there are thousands of sellers to choose from. Mine is the first column, third down handbag.

ANOTHER treasury!

Did I mention I was productive this weekend?
I got home from work Saturday night around 11 p.m. and then sat down and made these before bed:
I really love this little purse. I got the fabric from the remnants bin for a great price (remnants means it was the end of the bolt and just little pieces left. They then discount it). These two fabrics were just piled in there, but they looked perfect together!

It's not clickable because it was given as a gift, but I still wanted to share it.
I also made this tote. I love the bamboo handles. It was inspired by my friend David's mom, who I have never met. But he was talking about having me make a bag for her for Christmas and then he pointed out some things she liked and I thought this would be the style.

I would name it after her, but I don't even know her name!

Tote yur stuff, look cute
My latest creation is a Burst of Happiness in itself. It's a very summery flowered and striped bag, in coordinating colors. Flowers on the inside, stripes on the inside. Pockets, magnetic snap, fun colors. What else do you need?

Looks like sky, feels like clouds
I know, I know. Clouds aren't REALLY cottony-soft. They are made of water and stuff. I know this because when I was 3, I went on an airplane (the regular kind) and rolled down the window and touched one. It felt cold and wet and my hand had condensation on it. Nobody believes me about this because normally you can't roll down airplane windows, but I swear it happened. Maybe it was different in the 1970s -- maybe they had to lock the windows for terrorism purposes.
Anyway, I made this scarf, and it's so damn soft. I could just rub it on my face all day and night, but I won't because I want to sell it. So click the picture for the link to my shop if you want to feel clouds but can't afford a plane ticket.

Available at Burst of Happiness.

Red-rum -- er Red-scarf
Yep. I'm a headline writer by craft, and that was the worst one I've ever done. But they aren't paying me the big bucks right now.
The point of this post is this:

My latest creation, a red, lacy, loose-knit scarf.
It's for sale here.
UPDATED: I took this scarf off the market because I was very cold and I liked it. But I'm in the process of making another from the same yarn.

I made art
I am trying to come up with a logo for my shop and my "business." For my fashion design business class, we'll need this logo to make business cards and stationery. Considering I can't draw a stick figure, I didn't think I could do it. I drew this and then scanned it and used the computer to color it. It's sort of overwhelming, but when set with words into a banner or something, it looks OK.

OK, I know you are thinking that it looks like a 5-year-old did it, but there's also someone who is working on a version for me that I think will be better. But if that falls through, I have this one. And I did it all by myself because I'm a big girl now.

Waste not, want these
I've made a few new things for my Etsy.com store.
I've stepped away from clothes for a few months. I'm taking a lot of design classes right now and will be patternmaking for them, so I'm just trying other stuff right now, like pillows and bags. This is allowing me to use some fabric that would have been wasted (left over from garments). These two are from the fabric I picked up in NYC this summer at Mood Designer Fabrics. That's the place they go to on Project Runway.

I sold my first item on etsy.com after a month and a half! It's a pillow, the rectangular copper one below.
I'm also on my way to teach third-graders about being an editor at my friend's classroom!

Branching out into new territory
As I said before, I'm going to make some other, less size-specific items for my shop.
This is also a good way to use up leftover material.
Tonight's projects:
black eyelet pillow with pink lining and pink piping

Brown brocade bolster with contrasting end pieces

Brown brocade throw pillow

Check It Out, part I: Indulging Scentsations
As a seller (or wanna be seller) on etsy.com, I am going to promote other sellers on my blog. Etsy is a place for crafters to sell handmade stuff, and it's a wonderful place to shop. You can find unique, affordable gifts AND support people who love to make things.
Indulging Scentsations can be found at www.bradli.etsy.com. You are going to want to eat these products because they have scents such as kiwi, champagne, strawberries and cream and creme brulee.
Products include Vegan lip gloss, whipped shea butter, linen spray and more.
Crystal's profile says she's a stay at home mother who has had her business for 7 years but just started really trying to sell her products in the past year. Crystal says, "I love making quality bath and body products. My goal is for every woman to be able to afford great products and reasonable prices."
So slather up, everybody, and make the world smell sweeter.
